Please Donate to Help Domestic Violence Victims

Please help domestic violence victims by making a donation for the “Self Care” event held by the 12th District Police Domestic Violence Subcommittee.

Earlier this year, we held an Awareness Dog Walk and to raise funds for the 12th District Police – Domestic Violence Subcommittee for their work with victims of domestic violence.  Despite the torrential rain, many folks came out for the walk and/or donated and we were able to raise $422.

The subcommittee will be holding a Fall “Self-Care” event at this week to help Domestic Violence victims move on and build a new life.  As part of the event, they’ve suggested using the funds raised to buy $15 giftcards at Jewel and Target as raffle prizes.  They estimate that they will host 90 to 100 participants at this event.

Instead of some winning a $15 giftcards, we would like for each participant who is a domestic violence victim will  receive a $15 giftcard to buy either food or just something small for themselves.

We are reaching out to Jewel and Target to contribute as well but are asking for your support as well.

All donations welcome and are tax deductible.  Please give what you can.
