The Chicago Park District has cancelled all programming at Skinner Park (and Whitney Young ) due to COVID-19 starting Sunday, March 15 thru March 30 and the Skinner Park field house will also be closed. Because Chicago Public Schools is also closed, the Park District is offering Enhanced Programming (age appropriate) at 18 parks across Chicago to help families with parents or caregivers that can’t stay at home with their children from 8am to 4pm M-F startng March 17. The two closest parks to the West Loop are Eckhart Park (1330 W Chicago ) and Fosco Park (1312 S. Racine). Each site will be limited to 250 children per day in compliance wih COVID-19 guidance.
